International SOS the world’s leading medical and security risk services company, Digital Travel Risk Management (DTRM) solution has won the award for Most Innovative Use of Technology in Global Mobility - Assignee Management” at the 2018 Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) APAC EMMAs (Expatriate Management & Mobility Awards).

The FEM EMMAs are the premier awards for the global mobility and human resources industry. This year’s FEM APAC EMMAs were judged by an independent panel made up of industry experts. Concerning the International SOS team and its DTRM solution, the judges commented: “This is a rising issue in global mobility and International SOS leads the field in innovation and solutions.”

Business travel is on the rise while an influx of new threats around the world is causing concern. Organisations have a legal and moral Duty of Care in keeping their mobile workforce safe. To protect their people in the event of incidents, they must have the processes, resources and technologies in place to ensure their safety and well-being, anytime and anywhere.

The International SOS DTRM solution incorporates its Assistance App, TravelTracker, and TravelReady software, complementing its Corporate Membership programme which provides round-the-clock access to its 26 assistance centres worldwide. The award-winning solution demonstrates the importance of technology to support organisations in delivering accurate and timely pre-departure travel advice, the ability to immediately track and communicate with their mobile workforce in the event of an incident, as well as deliver real-time management reports to keep senior managers informed.

The DTRM solution currently supports 11,000 organisations’ ability to keep their mobile workforce safe and productive globally, including over half of the Fortune Global 500, multi-national corporate clients and mid-size enterprises, governments, educational institutions and NGOs.

“We are honoured to receive the FEM APAC EMMAs award. The acknowledgement validates our commitment to enabling business continuity and resilience by helping organisations to keep their key asset – their mobile workforce, safe, healthy and productive. We will continue to innovate to meet our market’s priorities and needs, as well as the ever-changing travel landscape,” said Mr Brian Cheah, Head of Commercial - Singapore, International SOS.
