INDONESIA EARTHQUAKE - UPDATE : International SOS deploys Incident Management Team to Lombok

International SOS, the world’s leading medical and security services company, has deployed an Incident Management Team to Mataram, Lombok to assist clients on the ground in the wake of the earthquake which struck on 5 August.
The team comprising of security and logistics specialists, is assessing the extent of damage, availability of networks and infrastructure, and also providing assistance and support to our clients.
Advice for travel to Bali and Lombok
Defer non-essential travel to North Lombok and East Lombok regencies (West Nusa Tenggara province), including tourist areas such as Gili islands, following a series of earthquakes on 5-7 August. Travel to other parts of Lombok island and to Bali island can continue only if members can maintain flexible itineraries. Members currently in the affected areas should continue to exercise caution and follow official directives.
International SOS members should contact the Assistance Centre for support or pre-travel briefing covering safety preparations and the support required to ensure a trip is feasible.
